A custom piece starts with feasibility
A change of size or finish and an entirely new design are different enquiries. Establish the scope with the workshop before committing to either.
Define the change
Identify what should stay and what needs adapting: dimensions, material, finish, light source or mounting. Reference images communicate direction; they are not permission to reproduce a protected design.
Check what the workshop can make
Confirm tooling, minimum quantities, technical drawings, sample cost and applicable documentation for the proposed version. An existing model’s documentation may not cover a modified one.
Approve the relevant sample
Agree which dimensions, surfaces and functions the sample must demonstrate. Production starts against the agreed specification and approval, with any inspection scope documented beforehand.
Build a realistic schedule
Design, sampling, production and freight each need a confirmed duration. The planner offers indicative scenarios; the actual schedule is agreed for the specific order.
